Christmas Tree Chopping

We have a tradition of chopping down our Christmas tree with the Harris family, we've gone every year since we've been married (5). It is so much fun and I look forward to it every year! I was especially excited to go this year with Harper. The Harris's picked us up and we ate donuts that they brought, then hit the road. We had to drive to Montpelier this year because Preston was out of permits. Owen and I had a pretty good time in the backseat.

It was snowing up the canyon and there was already a ton of snow up there. I love it when it snows while we're chopping down our trees!

Harper loved every second of it! Amy brought this cute little sled for us to pull her in and she just sat in it and talked. The snow was so deep, so Steve and Jason went out to hunt for our trees while Amy and I stayed on the packed trail with the kids.
Nixon did not have such a great time. He cried pretty much the whole time until Amy picked him up and threw him in a snow pile.

It was a pretty long day, but we had so much fun!
We got our tree home and in the tree stand, but that was all we had energy for. Harper and I laid on the couch and took a nap. Then we just hung out at home the rest of the night.
