Steve's Bike

I am taking a page (or a post if you will) out of Jason's book and doing my first post. I don't have a cute little boy to post about but I do have a dirt bike. I traded in my old one and after many a discussion with Jevan and Eric they convinced me that I should get a 450. I went with the '09 because it has fuel injection and since I have no knowledge on how to tune a carb, it comes in pretty handy.

Jevan, Eric and I decided to race the desert series in Utah this year. I've done a couple and they are pretty fun even if you suck. Jevan ordered the numbers for me. He gave them to me the night that I broke my hand. Never try to put gigantic stickers on something with a broken hand, it is a disaster. That is why I didn't post a picture of the other side of my bike. The yellow and black number/backgrounds are for the amateur class. Jevan and Eric are also racing in that class but they should both be racing expert and are sandbaggers in my opinion.

I accidentally pressure washed my stock graphics off (which were kind of ugly) so I picked these puppies up when we went to Spanish Fork. At least the bike looks fast even if I can't ride it that fast.

I told Melissa that I needed a new exhaust to race because of this rule that you need to have a spark arrestor or they won't let you race. She totally bought it so I slapped this on as quick as I could. I started it and let it idle for awhile so she couldn't return it. J/K That was a total farce. She isn't that big of a sucker.

I am impressed Steve! Eric doesn't even know the address to our blog. I had to laugh that you called them sandbaggers. ha ha

I asked Eric why he had to get a silencer when all the race required was a spark arrestor and he fed me his shpeal about how it was only like $50 or so more to get the silencer so it was a better deal. For someone that hates spending money he has no problem buying crap for his baby, I mean bike. :)
