Sherwood Hills Girls Night

We had our annual girls overnighter for mom's birthday tonight. The men and kids all went to the Clark's house to watch the USU/BYU game (USU won). This was my first night away from Harper, but her and Steve had a good night together.
We started the night off with Maddox. We were seated right by the lobby, which was weird. The food was delicious and the entertainment was great. Amberly was our entertainment for the night, as usual. We laughed a lot and had a great time. This was a new one for us...
Then we made our traditional stop at Walmart. Melanie started a new game where you throw some random item at a person and say "Jenga." Amberly really loved this game.
We were looking at all the Halloween stuff, and my mom was on an aisle all by herself, so, naturally, Amy and I put on some really ugly masks and go running down the aisle my mom is on! I wish someone would have been recording it. She screamed so loud and had sheer terror in her eyes! One these days, the scaring of mom is not going to end well, but she's just too easy!
When we were done with Walmart, we got drinks and headed to Sherwood Hills. We watched some dumb movie that was supposed to be scary and just visited.
In the morning we listened to General Conference while we got ready. Then we decided to go to a movie, so we didn't have much time for sitting in the lobby (which is what we usually do, but then it just makes us tired and not want to do anything, so it was nice this year that we didn't have time). We usually have a photo shoot, but this year we only had time for one fireplace picture
We had a great time! This is such a fun tradition that we started. It's nice to just get away for a night with our mom and no kids or husbands (no offense, but we don't get to spend any time with our mom when the kids are around cause she just plays with them and ignores us).
