Harper turned 2 years old today! I can't even believe it! She is growing up too too fast. She has such a cute personality right now! She is so sweet and I can't get enough of her.
On Black Friday, I bought her a battery-operated car. It is a white convertible that is so darling! Steve put it together last night and we had it in the living room this morning. So when she woke up, I went in her room and changed her diaper, then I was taking it out to the outside garbage and she followed me out to the living room and spotted it first thing. She ran to it saying, "A car" it was so cute! She jumped right in it. So I said, "Let's go get dad and tell him what it is" cause he was still in bed. So she ran back to our bedroom and said, "Dad, a car." So he got out of bed and came out and she jumped right in it again. It was so cute!
Amy and Jason spoke in their new ward today so we all went for that. The Copes are up this weekend (Angela dropped Alexa and Alex off to Sule on her way here, so after church she has to meet him in Brigham to get them). McKenzie, Jake, and Brinlie came home with us after church and we started getting ready for Harper's party. Okay I fixed them a snack and they watched TV while I started getting ready for the party. Harper had a good nap at about 4:00.
We had both families come over at 5:30 for the party. We had a full house! Even Mandi and Annette came! The party was Shrek themed. I know, my 2 year old daughter is having a Shrek birthday party....but she is so obsessed with it. She begs to watch it ten times a day. I asked her if she wanted a Shrek party or a princess party and she picked Shrek. She likes princesses, but not as much as Shrek right now. Amy came over yesterday and helped me decorate the cake (and by helped me I mean she decorated the cake). She is pretty amazing! This is how she designed the cake (picture of the finished product later on).
So along with the Shrek theme, we had sloppy joes, pigs in a blanket, chips, lemon-lime punch, salads, dirt cups, gingerbread men sugar cookies, and cake and ice cream. It was all so delicious! People helped bring stuff, so that helped out.
We ate dinner, then Harper opened her presents. She loved having everyone over. And she really loved opening her presents! She was so excited! When she got something she really liked, she just wanted to open it and play with it and didn't care about opening the rest of the presents.
She is at such a fun age right now. She got a lot of fun presents: clothes, a cash register, a vacuum, a shopping cart, my little ponies, a lap top, a Pinkalicious sticker book, porcelain owls for her room, a baby, a purse, and a wagon. She got pretty spoiled!

After she opened her presents, we brought in the cake and sang to her again. She had no problem blowing out her candles! Then we ate dessert, hung out, cleaned up, then people started to head home.
