Steve woke up early this morning and rode with Tyson out to the race. They left around 7:00 because they had to get there early to check in and get their gas cans on the gas truck. We didn't want to get up that early just to sit there in the desert, so we got to sleep a little bit longer and eat breakfast at hotel. We left at about 10:00, their class was supposed to start at 11:00.

We got
there about 15 minutes before they had to go line up. We took Tahnee and
Addison with us. Addison is just a few months younger than Harper and
she kept saying she wanted her dad and Harper was underneath her blanket
yelling, "No" at her every time she said she wanted her dad. It was
pretty funny at first, but then it got old and was just snotty the more
she said it.

Here is the line-up, you can't really tell how many bikes are out there, but there are a ton! The race got delayed about an hour while they were all lined up. They let the little kids go before them and they had to make sure they were all off the course before they started.
Here is Steve coming into the pits after the first loop (he's on the right). He was exhausted and hurt his wrist, but he went out for the second loop!
Switching out his goggles and getting some gas.
He was pooped after the race! He said this race is fun about every other year, well last year was the fun year and this year it completely sucked for all of them! So next year should be fun, right?! As they finished, they all just started talking about how much it sucked and how they never want to get on a dirt bike again.
McKenzie and Alexa with Jon (the only reason they came)! They were in heaven when he said he'd take a picture with them!
After the race, we loaded up and went back to the hotel. We got back at about 6:30. Steve took a shower while us girls went and picked up pizza and shakes to take back to the hotel. After we ate, we put our pajamas on and watched Lion King (it was on tv and Harper has been obsessed with it lately). As we were getting delirious and tired, we all sang along to Hakuna Matata, it was quite lovely too! I don't think anyone stayed awake for the whole movie, we were all pretty tired!
