Amberly's big surprise!

After my 1/2 marathon, Steve and I had to hurry to Spanish Fork for Amberly's big surprise. We stopped at Angela and Rich's so I could shower and then we headed over to Stephanie's house (Angela and Rich were tending her kids). Some of Angela's sister-in-laws and friends were there along with our family. I guess Amberly had no clue why everyone was there, she just kept asking when they were going to eat the donuts. As soon as my mom, dad, Steve, and I showed up everyone went outside and still Amberly had no clue what was going on.

Rich went and opened the garage door, where the trike was. Nobody said anything, but Amberly walked up to it, very curious.

She was wondering who it was for and if they rented it or bought it.

She was just checking it out

Then Angela told her that it was hers...to keep! Amberly took off to give Angela a big hug.

Then Melanie explained to Amberly how Kellye had seen her test-driving the trike on Angela's blog and that Kellye wanted her to have the trike, so everyone that was there plus many others had donated money to buy the trike for her.

She was so touched!

These pictures were pretty good, but they aren't anything compared to the real thing. Angela recorded her reaction, watch it here.

Amberly and mom.

Kellye had donuts, sweet rolls, hot chocolate, and egg nog for all of us. It was delicious.

This is Kellye who made this all happen. You are great Kellye!

This is John (Kellye's husband) who was really excited to get the trike for Amberly

It was beautiful weather so Amberly got to try it out after the men got the seat lowered for her.

She even had her first accident! It wasn't bad. She was turning around in a driveway and tipped over! We didn't think that would really happen on a trike, but it did.

She got a bloody nose and scraped her knee a little, but she was fine

It was a great day and a great surprise! Thanks everyone for donating, Amberly really loves her new trike!
