We headed down to Spanish Fork today for Maizee's blessing that is tomorrow. We decided to stop at Hogle Zoo on our way down. We went last year, but Harper was too little, she's still too little to remember, but we thought she would enjoy it.
Reading the map to see where she wants to go first.
There wasn't a whole lot of action going on at the zoo, but we took some pictures anyway.
Some crazy monkeys
Sizing up to the gorillas
Harper and Steve looking at the elephants.
I love the elephants. Especially the little one!
Harper wanted to help push the stroller and Steve was nice enough to let her.
Peacock
Crazy little bird with the freakishly long beak.
Harper's first time on the carousel. She didn't love it, but she didn't hate it either. I used to ride this thing at Lagoon non-stop, but just one ride here made me pretty dizzy (getting old sucks)!
We started on this weird guy (above), but then we moved to the eagle that moved up and down.
Camels - watch out they spit
Steve and Harper - she loved to walk around.
My favorite - the giraffes!
Tiger
Crocodiles
After the zoo, we went to the Cope's house. Not long after we got there, we went to Provo to Texas Roadhouse and met everyone else there. Alexa, Steve, Harper, Dad, Max, and I shared a booth. It was really funny when the lady brought us out our salads. She brought Steve's with Ranch dressing, mine with Ranch dressing and no tomatoes, and then a salad with no dressing and lemon wedges added, guess who ordered that one...Dad! It probably sounds dumb or not very funny, but it was hilarious when she brought it out. We all had a good time and made fun of him for a few minutes. My dad hates salad dressing, so he sprinkles water on it and then salts it for his dressing.
It was a delicious meal! Then we all went back to the Cope's house for one giant slumber party!
