On Tuesday, Steve started working on the backsplash.
On Wednesday, Steve got a lot of the backsplash done. We got that magnetic board from IKEA. I thought it was a good idea - then you can put your recipes up there while you cook and they don't get all dirty and greasy. Plus I think it breaks up the tile nicely. Steve also put up the hood vent on Wednesday - it's not quite finished.
This has been my special assignment since we've painted. We masked everything off before painting, but a little paint still bled through. So, on all of the wood work (master bed and bath, hall, living room, and kitchen) I got to go through with my putty knife, rag, and "goof off" to take the paint off the wood. It actually worked pretty good without ruining the finish on the wood. It has been a pain in the butt, but I'm finally done! (I hope)
