Today was the 10th annual Top of Utah Marathon. Unfortunately, I did not participate in it this year. Angela, Rich, and Monica all ran it. Rich (my brother-in-law) did it last year as well. Why anyone would want to run 26 consecutive miles is beyond me. But I want to do it next year! I think it's incredible that they all ran the marathon and none of them ended up in the hospital!
Rich got 32nd place overall! That is impressive! His time was 3:04:46
Monica got 1548th place. Her time was 5:37:44
Angela got 1583rd place. Her time was 5:43:26
Not bad at all! There were 2129 people that ran the marathon. Way to go guys! I'm proud of you!
Rich qualified for the Boston marathon in April! He wants to do it, so I hope we can all go and support him! I think I am going to start training for next year. Angela recommends it, but doesn't know if she'll do another one and Monica says she'll do another one, and I'm pretty sure Rich isn't done yet.
After the marathon, we went to Old Gristmill for lunch and got a fun surprise. At the marathon, Melanie wasn't wearing a necklace, but when she came into Old Gristmill, she was wearing a little, pink square necklace (The kind that Amy and I are trying to make). So I looked at it and it was a girl whispering to another girl "psst... I'm pregnant" Congratulations Clark family! She is due April 15th.
It was a fun weekend spent with family!
