37 W + 5 D

I had a doctor's appointment today. When the doctor walked into the room, she asked how I was doing and I said fine and she asked if she could would I want her to strip my membranes and I said, "No way!" She said that usually women by now are just ready to be done with pregnancy and want the baby out and she said, "Either you're really tough or you're scared to death of labor and deliver." And I said, "I'm scared to death of labor and delivery." I'm measuring 34 inches, dilated to an "easy 1," and I'm about 80% effaced. She said everything looks good. The baby is still moving around quite a bit.
My pelvis, hips, and lower back have been getting a little sore, but not bad. I do have some stretch marks on my love handles and upper butt cheeks, but they aren't too bad. I haven't noticed any on my stomach yet, so I hope I don't get any there. I have spider veins on my ankles, but no swelling.
I am getting really nervous and excited. I can't wait to see what she looks like!
I've been loving getting her room ready! I went through her clothes (several times) and organized them by size, I've organized her blankets in a cute basket, and we (Steve) got her nightstand painted last week. We got a chair for her room a few weeks ago. I got the cutest chandelier from Tai Pan for her room that Steve still needs to figure how to hang. We are going to pick up her crib tomorrow, so that will be fun to get set up and all put together!
