Steve left early this morning to go down to Farmington to race in his very first arena cross. They had practices this morning, so he went down with his friends to check out the track. Alisha and I went down later. The canyon was pretty frightening, but we made it through. There were quite a few semis that were just stopped in the middle of the road, stuck there. It was crazy. Thank you to Alisha for driving her all wheel drive car! When we got there, there was a break between the practice and races so we went to Olive Garden with the guys. When we were done with lunch, we still had time to kill, so Alisha and I hit up Tai Pan. We had way too much fun there!
We got back just in time for the races to start.
Steve raced in 2 different classes, 2 motos each, so he raced 4 times.
Here's the line up for Steve's first moto. He is the 4th one in from the right. He jumped the gun a little bit and got caught up in the gate before it went all the way down. I thought he was going to be way mad, but he was able to laugh at himself. He did good though.
He was riding so fast that he's just a blur in this picture. (If you look at the boy holding the yellow flag, Steve is the red and green blur right above him). Okay, fine, my camera just sucked in here for some reason.
This picture was a little better
The line up for Steve's first moto of the second class he was in. He is the 3rd one in from the left. He got a better start on this one, but laid it down in a corner once.
This was the last picture I took of the races because I couldn't get a good enough setting on my camera.
