Hobo Village

It started out as a nice, beautiful day for a baseball game. But not long into it, grey, ugly clouds blew in and brought a lot of wind with them. Jake had a couple baseball games at Lundstrom Park today. We were all dressed in shorts and short sleeves. It got cold, so mom drove home (they only live a few blocks away) and came back with a mountain of blankets, jackets, a cardboard box, and a tupperware storage box (for the babies to be shielded from the wind).

Of course we all scoffed at our crazy mother, but ended up using all the jackets, blankets, and boxes that she brought. Harper had just eaten and did not want to be held. So, mom put a blanket in the bottom of this storage container and we put Harper in with a blanket on top. It worked! She loved it.

The best part was when dad took Jake a drink and as he was walking away, he had a long piece of toilet paper hanging out of his jacket pocket. Then he came back and said that we look like a hobo village. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do!
