Bear Lake

Harper slept so good last night. I was a little worried since she doesn't really sleep well away from home. So I was glad that she didn't wake up screaming. I, on the other hand, did not sleep so well. I don't know if I was paranoid that I was going to roll over on top of her or what, but I kept waking up like every half hour at least. It was a long night. Then at like 6 am, it started lightning and thundering like crazy! It was so loud! It was kind of cool and scary to be out in a tent during it. It rained for a little bit. But then cleared right up so we could go to the beach! We had a delicious breakfast of bacon, eggs, hash browns, and pancakes. Then got ready and hit the beach. It was still a little cold when we got there, but it warmed up.

Harper kept picking up the sand and dropping it down her back.
I started this little hot tub for Harper and then all the boys got in on it.
They were working really hard to get it all built up.Marshall, Kendrick, and Tug
Then she tried jumping in. But she doesn't really know how to jump yet.
Great job on the hot tub boys!

I took Harper out in the water in her tube, then she got in the raft with Stone for a bit. She loved that. Steve had a nice little nap under the shade. We all had a great time at the beach!

We packed up then we drove around the whole lake. That was the first time I had done that. I fell asleep at the end though. When we got back to the camp ground, we got showered and ready for dinner. They had a few bathrooms that had a toilet and a shower, so we went in one of those. I showered first, then Steve showered Harper while I got dressed, then I got Harper dressed while Steve showered. The actual shower felt nice, but by the time we got out of the bathroom, I had sweat dripping down my face. They didn't have vents or windows or anything, so it was way hot in there! Not a refreshing shower at all. But it was nice to get the lake and sand washed off.
Then we had a delicious dutch oven dinner. We had chicken, potatoes, and peach and cherry cobbler. It was so good! Rob and Kamee did the meal planning and grocery shopping and they did an excellent job! All our meals were so delish!
Then we got a fire started and sat around the campfire. We played a game called, "I've never." You all put up your hand and five fingers and then go around and say something you've never done and if someone has done it, then they have to put a finger down. Whoever has a finger(s) up at the end wins. It was a really fun game! We learned a lot of new things about each other... good and bad!
