3rd Annual Girl's Getaway

Two years ago, we started a tradition to take mom to Sherwood Hills for her birthday. Just mom and her 6 daughters! Even though mom would rather go to Burger King for dinner, we take her to Maddox (after this year we might have to start going to Burger King since Maddox raised their prices a ton!) Mom, Angela, and MelanieAmy, Monica, and Amberly

Maddox was delicious as usual! They gave mom a free dessert for her birthday and then we ordered another one for all of us to share. We got the Peach Cream Pie and it was to die for!
We always go to the Brigham Wal Mart after dinner. It is so much better than our Wal Mart in Logan. Angela has a son that is a bit obsessed with Batman, so when she found these masks, she made us all put them on. We had lost mom, so we went to find her. Yep, all six of us walked around Wal Mart so we could show our mom our masks!
After Wal Mart, we went to Sherwood Hills. We just hung out in our room and watched, "Don't tell mom the Babysitter's Dead." Such a great movie!
Two years ago, when we first planned on taking mom to Sherwood Hills for her birthday, our intentions were to go for a nature walk and take beautiful pictures in the colorful trees. Well, that has yet to happen. The first year it rained, the second year it snowed, and now the third year it rained! It sucks, but we still have fun! At least Sherwood Hills decorates their lobby cute! We didn't take as many pictures this year cause we were in a hurry to catch the movie in Brigham. We went to "Night's in Rodanthe" it is based on the Nicolas Sparks book. Angela read the book, so before the movie started, she leaned over to me and was like, "you might cry." So then as we're both crying our eyes out, she leans over and is like, "I told ya." It was a really good movie, really sad, but good.
