Today I worked on a big project that I have been wanting to get done for a long time now...I cleaned the entire basement. We moved into our house at the end of June last year and haven't done anything with the basement yet. We're not planning on finishing it right away, but it was so dusty, dirty, and disorganized. It was driving me crazy. So I finally took the time and got busy.
I took this picture after I had half of the basement clean, but there was too much dust in the air that you can't tell that I had cleaned that section.
My hair was sooooo dirty! I couldn't wait to get in the shower when I was done! My biggest fear about cleaning the basement was all the huge spiders I was going to find. Luckily, I only encountered a couple small ones that I was able to smash. I hate spiders!
A few hours later....
I organized my scrap wood and can't wait to craft it up! When we were doing the finish work, Steve had a big junk pile outside that he would burn on occasion...well whenever I could sneak away for a few minutes, I would go and dig through the scrap wood and started a little collection. Steve was so bugged by me for doing this, but there was some good wood in there that he was just going to burn. And now that I have a Cricut, I will put that wood to good use.
It was a big project, but I got it all done! Now I need some shelves to put down there to store my holiday decorations so we can clean out the spare bedrooms.

nice work sis!! that is a crappy job and i NEVER EVER want an unfinished basement again...maybe we will never move!!!
looks wonderful! could i put some of my stuff down there too?
