Landscaping

Last night, we had the Clarks and dad over for burgers and to get some landscaping tips from Dave. Dave gave us some good ideas, now we just need the time, motivation, and money to get our yard in.
This morning, Steve rented a skidster and got to work. He was moving around topsoil and smoothing it out. I was inside touching up paint in the mud room and heard Steve around back, so I looked out the window and saw the skidster tipped on it's bucket. That did not look right, so I went outside to see what was going on. Steve's not really sure what happened, but I'm just thankful that he had decided to put his seat belt on! The neighbor drove past and saw the skidster so he came over to see if we needed help. He brought his truck over and pulled it back down.

This is what Steve got done in the front. You can't really tell in the picture and we need a little more topsoil, but he made some burms and got a few big rocks in.

It was a productive weekend and I was able to cross a few things off of my to do list!

i LOVE that you took a picture of your list!!! looks like you have made some progress but if your like me it seems like once you get one thing crossed off you end up adding 2 or 3 more!! it NEVER ends!! oh well, its fun that way, i guess

Looks good so far! You have made more progress than us. The whole living on just my income thing kind of put a damper on the yard getting in for now. Hopefully when Eric finishes school we can get a start on it!

LOL You cant leave the boys alone with their skidsters without supervision! As it looks like we both learned this past week. Your house and yard are looking great!!! Last time I saw it there was no carpet and barely paint on the walls!
