Labor Day Breakfast

We had our traditional Labor Day breakfast out at Vaughn and Gwen's this morning.
We did mix it up a little bit this year though. We all slept over last night. Steve didn't get proper information about the sleepover yesterday at the blessing. He thought everyone was sleeping inside, but I thought we were sleeping outside. After Steve convinced me that everyone was sleeping inside we didn't bring a tent or sleeping bags. We only brought a few blankets and our pillows.
When we got to Vaughn and Gwen's last night and saw all the tents in the backyard, I was a little mad and thought Steve said everyone was sleeping inside because that is what he wanted to do. But I was wanting to sleep outside and so my stubbornness set in. We got to sleep out on the tramp with Mike and Kendrick. And man was it fun!
I jokingly asked Kendrick if he was going to sleep with us (not thinking that he would) and sure enough, he crawled in right in between us!
He told me some bedtime stories and then we fell asleep.
It was pretty warm when we first got out on the tramp, but it got cold! I at least had on pants, socks, and a sweatshirt. Poor Steve was in a t-shirt, basketball shorts, and bare feet. We had two blankets under us and one on top of us. I tried to snuggle with Kendrick, but it was kind of difficult because he slept mostly on his back and I'm about 12 times bigger than he is.
I woke up so many times in the night and was so mad each time when it was still pitch dark outside. I wanted it to be morning so bad.
Me, Kendrick, and Steve (yeah, Mike is on the opposite side of the tramp with a big, warm sleeping bag all to himself)

Oh, here is everyone else; prepared with tents and sleeping bags!

After we woke up, we got breakfast started. Steve is always in charge of making his delicious hot chocolate.

Gwen was going to pick her mom up for breakfast and didn't see Scott's jeep and backed into it a little. Mike came inside to warn us all that she would not be in a very good mood when she got back. So, Steve and Amy had the idea to spray paint plastic cups to look like cones to direct her into her garage. They didn't have enough time to paint arrows in the driveway, but the cones were good enough. As Gwen pulled up, Mike directed her into her parking spot (I didn't dare get close with my camera when she pulled up, so I just took a picture before she got home) She was a good sport about it.
Breakfast was delicious and we all had a good time!
