Monica, Amberly, and I did the Shamrock Shuffle in Smithfield this morning and man was it cold! Monica and Amberly ran the mile and I ran the 5K. As soon as the race started, I was wishing that I would have run the mile with Amberly and let Monica do the 5K.
It kicked my butt! But it was nice to have Monica and Amb there at the finish line to cheer me on! I ran it in 32 minutes, which isn't too bad for me, but it sucked when everyone kept passing me and there were only like 5 people behind me at the finish.
At the finish line, they gave us these cute shamrock leis. Then we went inside for prizes. Monica got first in her age group and Amberly got second. Amberly was pretty excited to go up and get her ribbon.
I decided that I don't really like running all that much and wondered how in the world I ran a 1/2 marathon!

oh silly sister...running is great, and you ran pretty fast...too bad i wasn't there and i would have been behind you!!
how fast did monica run the mile?? how many people did the race??
