lia sophia open house

I had a lia sophia open house from 2:00-7:00 today. I was quite bummed with the turn-out. So far my summer parties haven't had very good turn-outs. I invited my whole neighborhood, friends, family, and co-workers. Only a few loyal customers came and one lady from my neighborhood. I guess considering how many people actually came, the party was pretty good. I didn't have as much jewelry to display because it's the new catalog now and a lot of the jewelry I have was discontinued. So I'll just have to buy some new stuff! Anyway, no one showed up until about 4:00, which was fine because at 2:00, I went out to get the mail (because I had exchanged a couple of my old pieces of jewelry for new ones and I was hoping that they had come today, they didn't but anyway...) I shut the front door behind me and realized that it doesn't open from the outside, so I tried it anyway in case some fluke thing happened and it would open, but it didn't. So I was bare foot, didn't have my cell phone on me and I was running around the house to see if any doors happened to be open or if there was still a key hidden....nothing. So I started to panic cause I'm supposed to be having a party and I was locked out of my house! So I went to my next door neighbor's house, but she didn't answer her door. So I ran back home and tried all the doors again, but still, no luck. So, I remembered meeting the people that live a few houses down, but I didn't remember their names, so I went there and I could hear her vacuuming so I didn't know if she would hear her doorbell or not, but she did. So I told her my story and asked if I could use her phone. Steve was supposed to be working in Hyrum today, so I called him to see if he had any ideas of what I could do, but him and Rob just happened to be in Richmond, just getting ready to leave! Oh, it was a miracle! So he came and let me in the house. He almost didn't answer his phone because he didn't know the phone number I was calling from, but Rob told him to just answer it, so thank you Rob!
Anyone who spent at least $50 or booked a party with me got put into a drawing for the hostess bonuses. There were only three people in the drawing and Melanie won them! Brinlie drew the name and she drew Melanie the first time; I promise we didn't cheat.Mom, Melanie, McKenzie, Brooklyn, and Brinlie stayed until like 9:30. It was fun having them stay so long. Steve ended up grilling us girls hot dogs (he refuses to eat them). Brinlie and Brooklyn were very good at modeling all of the jewelry!
