Today was my last day with the State of Utah. I have worked there for just over 2 years. I was Riffed a month ago. My team went on a retreat for a fun last day. Only Mindy, Mary-Jo, Leslie, and I went. I have become really good friends with those three, so we had a blast! We went up Ogden Canyon and ate at "The Oaks." I highly recommend it! It was on the river and they had plenty of seating outside. It was really good food and an awesome atmosphere.
At lunch, I told them about a dream I had the other night. It went like this: We were on our retreat and we went to a restaurant. The waitress handed me the stack of menus, so while no one was looking, I put an ultrasound picture in a menu and handed it to Leslie. When Leslie opened her menu and saw the ultrasound, she looked at me with a stern look on her face and said, "Is this yours?" So I said, "yes" and she got so mad at me (not the reaction I was expecting to get out of her). She was like, "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" So I started bawling and was like, "It's not like it would have saved my job." No one was even happy for me. It made me feel really bad.
After I told them my dream, I said, "So after I had that dream, I was really scared to tell you guys. And I hope I get a better reaction." And I pulled out this:
They were so excited for me. Leslie started to cry. She said it was such good news on a crappy day. Mindy and Mary-Jo both said they had suspected I was. I thought I did so good hiding it with them, so I asked why they suspected and Mindy was like, "Because you have a gut." And I was like, "That's what my sisters said." So I guess I wasn't as good at hiding it as I thought I was. Leslie kept making comments throughout the day how excited she was for me. After lunch, we went to the mall and the Carter's store in Ogden. No I don't know what I'm having yet, but I still bought clothes because they were too cute! I bought mostly girl clothes, but a couple boy clothes too. (I will publish my pregnancy posts that I have so far, so if you're interested, go back to June 14, they are labeled P1 - P10).
It was sad to leave my friends at work, but I was glad that I could brighten up the crappy day with my good news.
For some reason, Leslie calls me Little Munchkin. So now there are two little munchkins!

For a sec when I read the title I thought you were having twins and was thinking, Why didn't she tell me?! :) That ultrasound pic looks pretty good! Lots clearer than our first one. We are SO excited for you guys!! I know you want a girl, but I hope it is a boy so ours can be buds!
YAY!!! Congratulations! I am so happy for you! I hope you are feeling well and I am excited to see your cute pregnant belly hopefully sometime in the near future!
