Steve had to work over at Bear Lake this morning for a few hours. Rob was busy bidding houses, so Steve had to work alone. I went with him and went down to the lake. It was a beautiful morning.
My last day is August 18.
This was very unexpected (for me).
This is not a bad thing.
I think it is wrong the way I got riffed and the reason I got riffed.
My supervisor was out of town, so the other supervisor had to RIF me.
I was riffed because I had been there the least amount of time.
I am the secretary so I'm not sure what they are going to do once I'm gone.
Nothing my division has done since I've worked there has made sense.
When something is going smoothly, they'll change it and make it 100 times harder than it needs to be.
This will give me a great opportunity to finish school.
It is kind of a relief that I got riffed and I think a few people at work are a little jealous.
I will be able to get unemployment until I find a job.
It sucks having to give up state benefits.
It will be nice to do something different.
They will pay me out for my annual leave I have left, but not my sick leave.
I have 193 hours of sick leave.
I only called in sick one time in the two years I had been there.
I can't wait to get away from all the drama and politics (they were beyond ridiculous).
Now I don't have to worry about my Diet Cokes getting stolen from the fridge (that were clearly marked with my initials that no one else in the office had).
I will miss the 3 awesome friends that I have made and gotten close to.
Things will all work out.
(This post is not to get sympathy, it is just to let you in on some of my thoughts).
