When Michelle and Nick got off work, we went downtown for the night. I didn't get very good pictures of the city because I just took them as we were driving.
We ate dinner at Mama Mia's. It was a really good pasta place.

Then we walked around. Here are some break dancers.
Then there was this guy juggling fire.
There was a beer festival going on so this drunk guy volunteered to help. He had to lay on the ground with a torch in his crotch (I'm not sure what the point of that was). The guy doing the show said he was going to do a ring of fire around this guy laying down and dumped out gasoline in a circle around him. We found out later in the show that it was just water.
The show was kind of boring, except for when the performer would tell the drunk audience to "shut up." I actually thought he was pretty funny, but he dragged the show on for too long. It was also cool when he swallowed fire at the end.
We walked around a little more after that. Then we went up into the building where Nick works. He's got a pretty view of the water front. Then we went to another Gelato place for dessert. I had never heard of Gelato before, but it is pretty popular in Portland.
