Exterior Paint

Steve and our neighbor agreed on a little trade work awhile back. Steve poured a concrete pad for our neighbor's RV. In return, our neighbor agreed to paint our exterior (he is a painter).
When we talk about our exterior getting painted, people usually don't know what we have to paint on our exterior. In case any of you reading this are wondering the same thing, I'll explain. Our siding is not vinyl siding that you just put up and walk away. We have hardy board siding. It is made out of thin cement boards that require painting. So that is what we are painting on our exterior.
A few weeks ago, our neighbor's guys came and caulked. Then it sat for awhile. When I got home from work yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to see the windows all masked off and about half of the house primed. We had no idea they were coming.
So today, they finished priming and started with one of the paint colors.
The bottom half of the house is painted in "Wooden Oar." And the top part is still the primer, but it will be a lighter color that is similar to the primer. We stole the colors from a house that we absolutely love in Smithfield.

More photos to come of the finished product, so stay tuned...
