Washougal

We talked Michelle and Nick into coming to Motocross with us. We got there around 12:30. The track was humongous! There were a ton of people there. It was really pretty.

Nick, Michelle, and Steve
Steve was in heaven. He loved it!

It was 95 degrees outside today. Within the first few minutes of being there, I had sweat almost dripping off my face. Once we got under the shade, it was really quite pleasant.

Me and Michelle

We walked around the track to see the different parts of it. We hiked this hill and could see the start line.

It was really cool to be there. The bikes were so loud!

Here's just another view of the track.

Nick and Michelle - we sat on this hill for awhile. They had the womens first moto, the 250 class first moto, and then the 450 class first moto. We got something to eat and walked around the pits while we waited for the second motos to start.

Steve and Nick

This was the second 250 moto - Christophe Pourcel (Steve's favorite)

Michelle - I guess it was a little too loud for her!

Pourcel again, some of the crowd, and the port-a-potties that were disgusting and super hot inside

Blake Wharton - 250 class

Steve and me - Steve bought me this really cute shirt that I couldn't wait to change into!

Another view of the track - this was the second 450 moto

Chad Reed

Chad Reed

Chad Reed
(bet you can't tell who my favorite is!) Chad got the holeshot in the first moto and ended up winning the first moto. This is the last corner before Reed won the second moto. At the beginning of the second moto, Reed was in about 7th place. He kept passing guys and slowly made his way to 1st place. I knew he'd catch up, but I didn't really think he would make it to first place. It must have been all my cheering!

After motocross, we couldn't decide what to have for dinner. We had decided that we would just make something at Michelle and Nick's house. Then Nick suggested to make breakfast for dinner. So we stopped at the grocery store and picked up a few things. We had quite the discussion on making our own Maple Syrup or buying it already made. Michelle and Nick both didn't know you could make your own Maple Syrup. Steve insisted that homemade was better and cheaper. It would have been cheaper in the long run, but neither of us really make pancakes that much, so we just went with the store bought maple syrup. Then we were going to go pay, but Steve had to go get chocolate milk. When he got back with that, he asked if Michelle and Nick had bacon. They didn't, so of course, he had to go back to get some bacon. It took forever. He had gone to the butcher for some fresh bacon. He was bugging way bad. We finally made it out of the grocery store with all our supplies for breakfast/dinner.
Steve, Michelle, and Nick all in the kitchen preparing our dinner.

Nick, Michelle, and Steve - I love Michelle's look she's giving Steve - it's classic!

Michelle made the best, fluffiest scrambled eggs ever. And Nick made some delicious, fluffy pancakes. Steve cooked the bacon (which was also really good) and kept screaming out in pain as the grease splashed up on his arms.

Nick and Steve being dorks. Me. It was a delicious meal!
Thanks again Michelle and Nick for letting us stay at your house! We had a great time!
