On the road again!

We made it a little more than halfway last night. So we woke up pretty early to continue our drive.
The drive was pretty boring. Here are a few highlights of today's drive:
This gigantic tree farm. It was just right there by the highway and it went on for 4 1/2 miles! It went back a long way too. It was pretty impressive.

The Columbia River Gorge. It was so windy all through here. There were a ton of wind surfers out.

This is when we got to the pretty part of the state. Just outside of Portland. We stopped at this lookout to switch places. I was driving, but I didn't want to drive in Portland.

We got to Michelle and Nick's around 2:00. They were both at work, so we checked out their place for a bit, then we decided to go downtown for awhile. We just drove around. It was so big and we were tired from driving all morning. So we just decided to go back to Michelle and Nick's and wait for them to get home.

When they got home, we visited for awhile and then had dinner. They made us a delicious meal: grilled chicken, rice, and corn. We ate, watched TV, and visited.
Then they took us to get some Gelato. It's like ice cream, only instead of being made with cream, it's make with milk. It was a delicious treat!
When we got back to their place, Steve and I brought our suitcases in and I gave Michelle a little gift. These are the new rave with the Oliver girls so I thought I would bring a little of the rave up to Michelle in Portland. I think she was quite pleased with her gift!

It's a Moo Moo! Also known as a Duster.

My mom and Michelle's mom used to and still do wear these. I'll tell you what, in the hot summer months for garment-wearing folk, these things are heavenly! They are very hard to come by. Locally, we have only seen them at Kmart. Amy even looked online and had a very hard time finding any. I must give credit to my sister Amy for making these popular in my family.
Steve and Nick pretended to be disgusted with our Moo Moos, but we know deep down they couldn't resist us!
I highly recommend the Moo Moo! The best part...they have two huge pockets in front!
